Kenzie's end of year soccer pictures. I just realized that she is wearing her school shoes and not her soccer shoes. Her soccer shoes are hot pink. Just her style.

Here are Kenzie's pictures from Homecoming. She had lots of fun and I was a proud mamma. I love this girl.

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Kenzie finally finished her soccer season. I was kind of happy this year to end it early. Her ankle needs some recovery time. She is so busy all the time with soccer, work, and school.
Her junior class took first place in the powder puff game and it was a lot of fun to watch. I am already starting to worry about her graduating. She makes my life so eventful. Finding fun ways to ask a boy to the dance. Homecoming dress. Dates with all my girlfriends here to check out her date and send her off on that special night. Sports. Friends. It will be so boring until Ryker gets old enough to really get involved with life. Ryker will be starting basketball again next Wednesday. He is excited for that. He loves being active also just like Kenzie and I am so grateful for that. They do not like to sit around the house.
All of Kenzie's guy friends are so good with Ryker. They will take Ryker and play soccer with him or take him to get treats. During warm ups at their home soccer games they will put Ryker on the side lines and kick the ball to him to help him get better ball handling skills. Troy cringes. You know he does not want him to play soccer only Football. But, Ryker may have another love, a love for soccer. Thanks to his big sis.
Troy is in the middle of harvest and things are looking great. We did get rained out last week so he had to quit for the weekend. But, he is up and running again. We are looking forward to getting a few days with mom and dad this next weekend. So I am off to scrub. It can never be clean enough we company comes. Love you all.

These are some of Kenzie's latest pictures. She had a best friend with her to take pictures. Jessie is like another daughter for me. She has been best friends with Kenzie since they were living in the same neighborhood when they were four years old. Best Friends Forever. I love these two girls.

The reunion was a blast. Why wouldn't it be with all that family. Thanks everyone for the great time.

Well this was a big week. Kenzie turned sixteen. She picked out her pearl ring, Nielson family tradition. And Ryker lost his first tooth. My kids are doing so good. Jordan loves spending time with grandpa and grandma in Washington and will be coming home soon to visit. We do miss him. Troy is busy farming and working with Ryker on his baseball. I love summer.

Here is what my wrist looks like now that the cyst on the top has be removed and the carpel tunnel underneath has been fixed. The swelling is starting to go down and today for the first time I am starting to move it a little. I still can not do too much. I swear the top part of my hand hurts worse than the underneath. But, I am glad to have it done and soon get back to work. It is pretty boring sitting at home not being able to do anything. Poor Troy is working overtime to take care of me and going to work. But luckily we had a long weekend with all the rain he did not have to go to work. I really missed him today when he went back.

Our basement is officially tore apart again. We are fixing the leaks in the family room and in Kenzie's room. All the mold will be gone by tomorrow and we can start fresh. I am so happy to have this fixed. I literary broke down and started crying over Christmas. It was been flooding for years and we have to pull the carpet up, suck up the water, dry the carpet, pay to have someone stretch the carpet, and get it cleaned every time. I am so sick of spending all that money.

Hope everyone is doing well. We are so excited to see everyone for the 4th of July.

Kenzie did well at her state track meet. She came home with a eighth, seventh, fourth, and third medal. That is great for placing in all four events that you went in. I think she is ready for it to all be over. It is exhausting to run your legs to death for two days in a row. Thanks mom, Ashton and Jordan for coming and supporting her.

Saturday, May 14, 2011

Kenzie had district this weekend and she did well. She will be going to state this coming weekend in the 100, 200, 4x100, and medley. Their medley team is ranked first in the state.

Track and baseball have been keeping us going non-stop for the last month. I was feeling bad that Kenzie has to come home to an empty house almost every night. Ryker has ball practice three nights a week and one game a week. So we are never home after she gets done with track practice. But, I am looking forward to the next few weeks. Kenzie has district track this Thursday and Friday and then off to state the week after that. She is still ranked third and fourth in the state and their medley team is ranked first in the state. She is really pushing herself this year and will stay till almost everyone else is gone at practice. The coach pulled her out of class the other day at school and told her how impressed he was with her this year and how much he can see she is really putting her all into it. I am so proud of both of my kids. They would play baseball and run track 24 hours a day if they could. I know Ryker has us out in the yard tossing him a baseball if we ever have a moment to sit.

We love to see all your pictures. Your kids are growing up so fast. I am looking forward to this 4th of July get away. That way we can give all those little ones lots of loves. Miss you all.
